The mystery smoke detector that's been low-battery beeping in my house for the last 3 days (we have nest protects which don't beep, they sternly warn) turned out to be the mechanical hard disk in the dell thin client making death chirps. This dual-core ULV haswell, no-ram little shit has transcended beyond sucking at the single task it's set up to do and is now mentally attacking me in my own home.
