Spending the week avoiding getting sick.

On the train to Melbourne for the first day at my new job. Pumped!

Fun fartlek run this morning that reminded me that I need to pimp Run Randomly more.

First race of the year ✅. 1:03:23 over 15km (managed 12th overall), right about where I was hoping to be. I have a couple of big running goals later in the year so it's all about staying injury free and consistent from here.

Heading to the farm for lunch.

Swimming lessons, followed by a toastie, hot chocolate, almond croissant and double espresso (not all for me) at Frankie's. Great way to spend the morning and really makes me appreciate working four days so I get a full weekday with our son.

Tapering for a race on Sunday == feeling very lazy for the first couple of days this week. Need to get out tonight and tomorrow to get at least a few kms in before the weekend.

Mini-break means coffee with the Aeropress and always reminds me just how much I love this style of filter coffee. I think a fancier hand grinder might be on the horizon.

Heading to the beach for a little mini-break later today. Time to relax.

Great run yesterday (2x2mi at 15km goal pace) where I pretty much nailed the pacing. Wanted to follow it up with a long day (~24km) but the legs were just waaaay too dead today and ended up shortening the loop to 18km. Not bad, but would feel better about the weekend if I went that extra distance.

In a wild turn of events I don't think we have anything planned to do today.

Testing out status.log, stoked to see even more little indie clients popping up.

Writing up a quick post about how I've embedded status.lol on my homepage while keeping the Content Security Policy as strict as I'd like.

Absolutely hectic few days of work.

Thinking about "committing" to building a series of small games for our son over the course of the year. The problem is that there's so much structure around simple games that I can't really be bothered with (menus, icons, settings screens, etc.).

Last minute trip to the laundromat to get some clothes dry before we leave for Euroa this afternoon.

Whoop whoop. Finished off a blog post last night about Python & Github Actions. Maybe I'm a DevOps person now?

Just got back from my lunch time walk. 36 °C (97 °F) today in Albury. Toasty.

Nice run this morning. Fast 1km in the middle, which was a season best 800m (3:02) according to Intervals.
